Great Pekalen Rafting

Great Pekalen Rafting locates in Ranu Gedang village, Tiris district, 25 km from Probolinggo town, East Java province. It calls Ranu Gedang because there are many banana trees which means in the Javanese language is Gedang. The rafter can wade this river to split the water river flows and exotic waterfalls.

According to the local people, Probolinggo has charmed King Hayam Wuruk and Gajah Mada of the Majapahit kingdom. Both were fascinated by the natural beauty in the Probolinggo area. Possibly name ‘Probolinggo' comes from the word 'Prabu Linggih', which later amended the text word of 'Probolinggo'.
